In order to satisfy regulatory requirements regarding the reporting of NOx emissions from Ula platform, BP has signed a contract with Ecoxy AS for delivery of a PEMS solution. PEMS, which stands for Predictive Emission Monitoring System, is a computer system that calculates the NOx emissions based on process data of the system under study. In this case a gas turbine is the NOx source.

Ecoxy will be responsible for the delivery of the system, establish a data model and make verification measurements. At present, Ecoxy is the only Norwegian accredited mobile laboratory for measuring NOx from gas turbines.
